Glass Installation Singapore
Glass installation for Singapore — tempered, laminated, heat-soaked, IGU/DGU and Low-E glass for windows, doors, partitions, shopfronts, balustrades and mirrors.
Tempered, Laminated, Heat-Soaked and Low-E Glass
The five glass families that cover most Singapore projects:
- Tempered (toughened) glass — heat-treated for impact strength; required for many safety locations such as low-level windows, shower screens and door panels.
- Laminated glass — two or more glass plies bonded with PVB or SGP interlayer; used where post-breakage retention matters (overhead, balcony barriers, fall-protection panels).
- Heat-soaked tempered glass — additional heat-soak test (per EN 14179 framework) to lower the risk of NiS spontaneous breakage.
- IGU / DGU (insulated/double-glazed units) — two or three glass panes separated by a gas-filled cavity for thermal and acoustic performance.
- Low-E coated glass — low-emissivity metal-oxide coating to cut radiant heat transfer; usually paired with IGU build-ups.
Specific safety roles, fire ratings and load capacities should be verified by the QP, supplier or relevant authority where required.
Glass Doors, Partitions, Windows, Shopfronts and Mirrors
We install:
- Glass partitions for offices, clinics and meeting rooms (frameless, framed or double-glazed acoustic).
- Sliding glass doors and swing glass doors for residential and commercial entrances.
- Window glass replacement for HDB, condo, landed and commercial windows.
- Shopfront glass and entrance vestibules (tempered or laminated as required).
- Mirrors and mirrored panels — bathroom, gym, dance studio, decorative.
- Shower screens, tub screens and bathroom enclosures.
Choosing Glass for Heat, Glare, Safety and Noise
The right glass depends on what you are trying to solve:
- Heat & glare → IGU/DGU + Low-E coating; consider solar-control coated glass for west-facing rooms.
- Safety from impact → tempered glass.
- Safety after breakage / fall-protection → laminated glass with PVB or SGP interlayer.
- Noise → laminated glass with acoustic interlayer or asymmetric IGU.
- NiS breakage on high-rise tempered glass → heat-soaked tempered.

Glass Build-Up Checks Before Quotation
Before you compare quotations, ask each supplier for:
- Glass build-up — total thickness and pane structure (e.g. 6mm + 1.52mm PVB + 6mm laminated, or 6mm Low-E + 12mm Argon + 6mm IGU).
- Interlayer type if laminated (PVB / SGP / acoustic).
- Coating type and surface position if Low-E.
- Edge treatment — flat polished, bevelled or square.
- Heat-soaked or not, if tempered.
- Origin and product datasheet.
The same nominal thickness can hide very different performance and cost.
